Over 25 billion Lemmings Have Been Saved!
More than 25 billion Lemmings have been saved by players of the classic video game franchise since it launched on mobile. Latest updates for iOS and Android introduce 250+ new levels and a new ‘Reward Rocket’ feature – plus 30+ new Lemmings character DLCs to collect each month
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Players of Lemmings: The Puzzle Adventure have surpassed a major milestone – an incredible 25 billion eponymous little critters have been saved since the game was released for iOS and Android devices in December 2018.
The game, which refreshes the classic ‘90s platform Lemmings experience for smartphones and tablets, tasks players with saving the adorable critters once again as they search for a new home in the face of environmental catastrophe.
Our cuddly friends take to the stars, exploring the universe to find a nice, cosy corner somewhere where they can put their feet up, kick back, have a cup of tea and wait for everything to blow over.
Lemmings: The Puzzle Adventure developer and publisher Exient Publishing has kept fans old and new entertained since its mobile release with regular drops of fun DLC, including over 30 new in-game characters to collect each month, themed around seasonal holidays, pop-culture events and more.
And to celebrate the collective 25 billion achievement, Exient has dropped a raft of new content and features into the game with its latest updates, including:-
- A whole new ice cream-themed planet to explore and 250+ new levels to play
- EIGHT new tribes to collect as part of Season 23 and 32 new lemming characters as part of Season 24
- New ‘Reward Rocket’ game mode to keep players coming back for exciting new characters, including daily challenges to win awesome prizes
The Lemmings franchise is a stalwart of the Britsoft establishment. Originally developed by DMA Design in Dundee, it was published for the Commodore Amiga by Liverpool-based Psygnosis and made its way to many other platforms, including multiple generations of Sony’s PlayStation.
